Christmas shopping in Aberdeen will truly kick off with a festive celebration in the city centre. The Three Weekends in Winter event will see street entertainment, craft and country fair stalls and carnival rides. It will mark the first weekend of pedestrianisation when Union Street from Bridge Street to Market Street close to traffic to help shoppers expected to pack into the city centre in the run-up to Christmas.

Road closures will mean bus routes will be diverted off that section of Union Street.

Park and Ride services will run from Bridge of Don, Calder Park and Kingswells throughout the weekends.
