Eileen Hunter Jazz Singer Aberdeen
Wife of 2004 X Factor Winner Steve Brookstein
Eileen Hunter was born in Aberdeen and is a Jazz Singer in London. She often returns home to visit her parents and married Steve Brookstein in Aberdeen on Saturday 26 August 2006. He proposed to Eileen in the London nightclub The Bedford after singing her a song called Take My Hand which he had specially written for Eileen.

Their marriage took place at King's College Chapel in Aberdeen. Eileen wore an ivory wedding dress and Steve wore a Hunter tartan kilt from the clan of his fiance's family.
Singer and song writer Steve Brookstein who won ITV and Grampian Television The X Factor Programme in 2004. He received over 6 million votes. Steve won a £1 million recording contract and released a number one single and album with the record label BMG which is owned by one of the X Factor judges, Simon Cowell.
During the show Steve upset judge Sharon Osbourne by describing Eileen as a Volvo - reliable! Fortunately this didn't bother Eileen who still accepted his marriage proposal and planned their wedding to take place here in the Granite City.
Eileen Hunter will perform at the
Aberdeen Jazz Festival 2011 with the Aberdeen Jazz Orchestra at The Blue Lamp, Aberdeen.
Steve Brookstein has a new single released om 18 September which is called Fighting Butterflies.
On the 31 October 2006 Steve Brookstein and Eileen Hunter will perform live together at the Aberdeen

On Monday 7 April Eileen Hunter gave birth to their son Hamish Alastair at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Steve and Eileen named their baby after her dad who sadly died just three days after she gave birth. Eileen's dad was Alastair Hunter a bacteriologist and lecturer at the University of Aberdeen.
