Information about the Boots store in Aberdeen Bon Accord Centre with website details and the store facilities, opening times and offers and promotional codes
is situated in the Bon Accord Shopping Centre. This is the main branch of Boots in Aberdeen with two floors of retail space. There are some smaller branches in Aberdeenshire such as at Peterhead, Stonehaven, Inverurie, Fraserburgh, Great Western Road, Garthdee, Dyce (within the Asda Shopping Complex) and on Union Street at Union Bridge opposite the Union Terrace Gardens. For the purpose of this review the information will be about the larger and main Boots shop.
Boots can be found on the ground and first floor of the Bon Accord Shopping Centre. There are entrances on both floors and each has access for wheelchair users and there is plenty of room to move around the store for disabled shoppers and those with pushchairs, prams and buggies. There is also an exit and entrance on Schoolhill and there is a disabled ramp to aid shoppers with a disability gain access to the store. There is a door to negotiate on the Schoolhill entrance but none to the Bon Accord entrances which remain open during the opening times of the shopping complex.
Boots also has a website at www.boots.com
where you will get free home delivery if you spend over £45. This saves carrying heavy or bulky shopping through Aberdeen.

The Aberdeen branch of Boots has the added advantage of a large pharmacy with a prescription collection service, advice from qualified pharmacists, health advice, cholesterol screening, a flu vaccination service, prescription dispensing, etc. Other health care services include a Boots Opticians which is conveniently located next to the pharmacy. Both are located on the first floor.

My new novel:
The Aberdeen skies are under attack from an enemy jet. It is spilling a strange yellow smoke. Minutes later, people start killing each other.
Former Royal Air Force Regiment Gunner Jason Harper witnesses this and then his wife, Pippa, telephones him, shouting that she needs him. They then get cut off. He sets straight out, unprepared for the nightmare that unfolds during his journey. Everyone seems to want to kill him.
Along the way, he pairs up with fellow survivor Imogen. But she enjoys killing the living dead far too much. Will she kill Jason in her blood thirst? Or will she hinder his journey through this zombie filled dystopian landscape to find his pregnant wife?
The Fence is the first in this series of post-apocalyptic military survival thrillers from the torturous mind of local horror and science fiction novel writer C.G. Buswell.

The first floor is dedicated to other items of health care like Light Boxes for Seasonal Affective Disorder and are the only retailer of these excellent SAD boxes in Aberdeen that we know about. There is also a wide range of massage machines like a spa foot bath and a bath spa all great products to use after a day's shopping in Aberdeen.
Self prescribing medicines are also on this floor and include vitamins, pain killers and cold and cough cures. Staff are available to offer advice and many of these products are covering in the Boots promotions like buy three and only pay for two making it cheaper to stock up to cope better with the Aberdeen winter weather.
The Aberdeen branch of Boots has the largest collection of make up and cosmetics along with personal hygiene products. We often find hard to find toiletries here, such as our favourite Badedas Essence Bath Gelee which we have never seen anywhere in Aberdeenshire.
Scattered throughout the Boots in the Bon Accord Centre are Boots Advantage Point Machines to help you check your points total. Do use these before you shop because you can often get free Boots vouchers and coupons off certain products to help save you money on that day's visit.
One nice feature of Boots in Aberdeen is the queuing system which is much like a Post Office where the queue is cordoned off so that no-one can jump in and then your number of the till is called out. It even sounds like the voice of the PO.
The staff in Boots are easily recognised in their blue trouser and white top uniform and are always smart, polite and helpful.
Seasonal purchases like Easter or Christmas gifts, wrapping paper cards, etc are next to the till area.
The ground floor is dedicated to quick purchases like snacks and drinks and include the Shapers range of snacks and drinks.

There are no toilets in the Boots shop but public toilets are located to the right as you exit the first floor of Boots Aberdeen. These won an award for the best kept toilets a few years ago and are always spacious and clean. The restaurant area is also to the right as you leave the Boots store.
Jobs at Boots
Job vacancies are advertised in the local morning paper the P&J (Press and Journal) and the Evening Express (EE) both of which are available to buy in Boots Aberdeen. Jobs at Boots are also posted at the job centre in Aberdeen. Boots also has extra work opportunities at Christmas to cope with the increase in shoppers.
More Aberdeenshire Shopping
Have you seen my beautiful golden retriever Lynne out and about in Aberdeen? Ask her for a high-five! She's a Bravehound PTSD assistance dog, so we'll often be in shops, restaurants, and the cinema together.
We've written a book where I talk about growing up in Aberdeen and then joining the army to be a medic and nurse, and developing military Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
I also talk about losing my son to suicide and the therapy I have had at Royal Cornhill Hospital and grief support groups in Aberdeen.
The author, Damien Lewis, said of Lynne:
"A powerful account of what one dog means to one man on his road to recovery. Both heart-warming and life-affirming. Bravo Chris and Lynne. Bravo Bravehound."
