ChildLine Summer Ball Aberdeen
Each year the ChildLine charity holds a summer ball at the Aberdeen Marriott Hotel in Dyce. The event gives you a super evening's entertainment whilst raising funds for this deserving North East of Scotland charity, helping vulnerable children throughout Grampian.
2008 ChildLine Ball
The
2008 ChildLine Ball is themed as the
Fire and Ice Ball and takes place at the Marriott Hotel in Dyce on Saturday 7 June 08 at 7pm for 7:30 pm. The ChildLine Chairwoman Esther Rantzen and the organising committee promise a night of ice cool glamour and red hot entertainment at the Summer Ball. Guests will be greeted with a champagne reception and this will be followed by a delicious three course meal.
After dinner music will be provided by the fantastic Press To Play with dancing and merriment going on till the early hours. During the evening event there will be prizes to be won from the auction and raffle. It is hoped that Aberdonians will once more prove their generosity and dig deep into their pockets and raise more than the impressive £36,000 raised during the 2007 ChildLine Aberdeen Summer Ball.

My new novel:
The Aberdeen skies are under attack from an enemy jet. It is spilling a strange yellow smoke. Minutes later, people start killing each other.
Former Royal Air Force Regiment Gunner Jason Harper witnesses this and then his wife, Pippa, telephones him, shouting that she needs him. They then get cut off. He sets straight out, unprepared for the nightmare that unfolds during his journey. Everyone seems to want to kill him.
Along the way, he pairs up with fellow survivor Imogen. But she enjoys killing the living dead far too much. Will she kill Jason in her blood thirst? Or will she hinder his journey through this zombie filled dystopian landscape to find his pregnant wife?
The Fence is the first in this series of post-apocalyptic military survival thrillers from the torturous mind of local horror and science fiction novel writer C.G. Buswell.

Last year ChildLine Scotland provided a counselling service to approximately 35,000 children, but due to a lack of funds ChildLine still cannot answer all calls from children who need them in the North and North East of Scotland. With your invaluable support ChildLine Aberdeen hope to raise over £40,000 from the 2008 Fire and Ice Ball to enable them to expand their service and help more young people.
Tickets to the ChildLine Fire and Ice Summer Ball are now available priced at £700 for a table of ten or £70 per single ticket. This is the perfect opportunity to entertain some important clients or reward your staff with a fabulously glamorous night out, as well as helping to raise vital funds for ChildLine Scotland.

Have you seen my beautiful golden retriever Lynne out and about in Aberdeen? Ask her for a high-five! She's a Bravehound PTSD assistance dog, so we'll often be in shops, restaurants, and the cinema together.
We've written a book where I talk about growing up in Aberdeen and then joining the army to be a medic and nurse, and developing military Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
I also talk about losing my son to suicide and the therapy I have had at Royal Cornhill Hospital and grief support groups in Aberdeen.
The author, Damien Lewis, said of Lynne:
"A powerful account of what one dog means to one man on his road to recovery. Both heart-warming and life-affirming. Bravo Chris and Lynne. Bravo Bravehound."
