- Details Of The annual Festival Of Science Technology Engineering And Mathematics
Tech Fest is an annual celebration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The organisers bring their subjects alive through fun demonstrations and events for all the family. There are organised days for primary and secondary school pupils and their teachers. Booking is essential and it is advisable to do this as early as possible because events can get fully booked quickly. School based workshops and presentations follow the National Guidelines.
Tech Fest Events
Events include learning circus tricks, handling bugs and creepy crawlies, meeting cows, going behind the scenes at The Beechgrove Gardens and Northsound Radio. There are drop in lectures such as exploring the human body, the production of electricity and what happens during a tsunami.

Tech Fest Outdoor Events
There are outdoor events in the local Aberdeen area such as wildlife walks through Forvie National Nature Reserve and watching the seals at the Don Estuary.
During Tech Fest many Aberdeenshire companies open their doors to give you a tour of their company and what they do. Booking for these events are essential. These include visiting Mackies farm and seeing the automatic milking unit in operation, a guided tour of Glen Garioch Distillery and demonstration by Grampian Fire and Rescue Service.
Events take place at the Aberdeen Beach Ballroom and Beach Leisure Centre.
TechFest Aberdeen 2009
TechFest Aberdeen 2009 takes place from Friday 11 September to Monday 28t September. This annual festival of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics is now in its 16th year. TechFest 2007
The 2007 TechFest Aberdeen is the 14th festival and takes place from the 7 to the 24 September 2007. Highlights of Techfest 2007 include the opening event with TV celebrity Ben Fogle. This is an evening with Ben Fogle where he will talk about his passion for nature and the natural world at the Aberdeen Beach ballroom. Other highlights include an audience with Jon Tickle - The man Who Walked On Custard, The Teenage Brain Dissected and Dr Bunhead's Wild Waste Show.

2005
The 2005 event took place between the 9th and 26th September 2005. It opened with a public evening's entertainment from Bill Odie called Follow That Bird where he discussed his life time pursuit and passion of birds.
