My new novel:

The Fence Aberdeen Zombie post apocalyptic military survival Novel Book

The Aberdeen skies are under attack from an enemy jet. It is spilling a strange yellow smoke. Minutes later, people start killing each other.
Former Royal Air Force Regiment Gunner Jason Harper witnesses this and then his wife, Pippa, telephones him, shouting that she needs him. They then get cut off. He sets straight out, unprepared for the nightmare that unfolds during his journey. Everyone seems to want to kill him.
Along the way, he pairs up with fellow survivor Imogen. But she enjoys killing the living dead far too much. Will she kill Jason in her blood thirst? Or will she hinder his journey through this zombie filled dystopian landscape to find his pregnant wife?
The Fence is the first in this series of post-apocalyptic military survival thrillers from the torturous mind of local horror and science fiction novel writer C.G. Buswell.

The Will o Janet Wishart

During the 2007 Aberdeen Word Festival Wendy Ivers performed the short drama The Will o Janet Wishart which she also wrote. It explores spiritual violence against women and one of the characters is a mother who was sentenced for witchcraft in the year 1596 in Aberdeen. The Will o Janet Wishart was directed by Grainne Smith and was based on a true story.

Aberdeen Lynne Golden Retriever

Have you seen my beautiful golden retriever Lynne out and about in Aberdeen? Ask her for a high-five! She's a Bravehound PTSD assistance dog, so we'll often be in shops, restaurants, and the cinema together.

We've written a book where I talk about growing up in Aberdeen and then joining the army to be a medic and nurse, and developing military Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

I also talk about losing my son to suicide and the therapy I have had at Royal Cornhill Hospital and grief support groups in Aberdeen.

The author, Damien Lewis, said of Lynne:

"A powerful account of what one dog means to one man on his road to recovery. Both heart-warming and life-affirming. Bravo Chris and Lynne. Bravo Bravehound."

Saturday 29th of April 7:30pm to 10pm - The Aberdeen Student Charities Campaign Annual Torcher Parade Well done to Wendy for wearing an awful Lycra green dress, knee high stripy socks and platform shoes as well as stained Y-fronts on your head as she and her hard working campaign team joined students collecting coins as part of their annual Torcher Parade. Wendy swears in her shows, a lot and though it is a performance flaw she is trying to rectify and we all love her for it young children should not view the footage unless you tell them it is a documentary about a woman with Tourette's Syndrome.

Note : Wendy messed up with the booking of Drummonds for the two shows scheduled to start at 7:30 and 10:30 and she is working on securing other venues for these shows and should have somewhere confirmed by Monday mid afternoon. SO for the 7:30 show if you go to www.wepaypopularitystakes.co.uk and follow the links to my video gallery pages she will make an announcement regarding the 7:30 and 10;30 shows on the site via her mobile phone by 3ish (in the meantime if I were you I'd aim to get to the 7pm, 8pm and 10pm shows just in case and if you come a little too late she'll tell you in the queue where you have to get to for the 7:30/10:30 shows. Torcher Parade Parody - April 2006

Wendy reveals her eccentricity to the world wearing the worst outfit imaginable and she and her hard working e ntourage join The Aberdeen Student Charities Campaign during their annual Torcher Parade. But she is part of a Competition to Become Britain's Most Popular Person and thinks the entire Parade is in her honour! So follow her into her deluded mind and laugh your head off as she bounds through the streets collecting coins, entertaining people, thanking them for coming to see her & repeatedly asking the question, 'Div ye like my punts?' whilst referring to the ones on her head. Whether you were there or not this is worth watching if only to assess Wendy's sanity and the crazy contribution she continually makes to the world we all inhabit.
